This week’s rundown has everything from peace and quiet to party vibes - and even a touch of Christmas cheer.
If a slower pace sounds good, check out The Inn on the Moor Hotel in Goathland. Surrounded by moorland and nostalgia (Heartbeat fans, take note), it's perfect for recharging.
For something louder? Oktoberfest returns for four weekends of beer-fuelled fun at The Tipi Venue. Expect bratwurst, steins, and live music all October. And yes, Santa's coming early - tickets for the NYMR Santa Express are already available, and they won't last.

🚂 Class 37 locomotive celebrates 65 years with special NYMR services

Dozens of clifftop homes at Flat Cliffs near Filey are "at imminent risk" from erosion, but a new grant could fund a community plan to face the threat. The council is expected to decide soon whether to accept the funding. Read more
🎾 Historic Scarborough tennis pavilion finally gets much-needed repairs
Built in 1885, Bramcote Tennis Pavilion had been placed on an "at-risk" register after storm damage and years of neglect. Work has now started to preserve one of the oldest surviving lawn tennis buildings in the world. More here
